Why did you choose the national centre?
We train in a sport centre where there is no permanent set up. So to have the opportunity to train in a facility with pits and the additional apparatus is essential to the development of our gymnasts.
We have used the Inverclyde facility for the last 30 years and see the improvements even with just one session in the gym. The gymnasts love the pits and the fact there is more than 1 beam, bars, parallel bars etc.
Many of our gymnasts have mastered their skills at Inverclyde, so they always look forward to a visit.” Jane McLaughlin, Allander Gymnastics Club
Tell us about your overall experience
We have always found the staff at Inverclyde to be very pleasant, helpful and always able to accommodate our requests. The equipment is well maintained, and it is a safe and exciting environment for gymnasts to learn. We have previously had a residential visit and the gymnasts enjoyed their stay.

What was a highlight of your visit?
A highlight is seeing the faces on the gymnasts when they walk into the gym for the first time.
On our previous residential stay we visited Nardini’s for ice-cream and a walk along the promenade.
