Why did you choose the national centre?
We chose the centre because of the excellent facilities, and its location.
For the first academy camp I wanted to be able to organise a ride around the island of Great Cumbrae to give the athletes a different experience to what they would normally do for a weekend riding.
Having the option of using so many different indoor and outdoor facilities was also a great reason to choose to come to the facility at National Centre Inverclyde.
All of the athletes commented on the standard of the facilities and how helpful the staff were in supporting our needs.”

Tell us about your overall experience
Having such an excellent place to stay with access to all the facilities that we could need for the duration of the visit made it a very positive weekend.
All of the athletes commented on the standard of the facilities and how helpful the staff were in supporting our needs and facilitating the different activities we did on site over the weekend. I particularly appreciated their help in organising a loop within the grounds which would be suitable for the athletes to run around, as well as setting up an orienteering course that we could use as part of the weekend's activities.
Overall, I would highly recommend this as a place to visit and stay.
What was a highlight of your visit?
The amazing weather for our ride around Great Cumbrae was so lucky, and made it a brilliant experience that it would have to be the highlight.
